The SIVA AFI TAHITI is a prestigious fire knife competition that welcomes amateur and professional participants, men and women, as well as children and adolescents from 5 years old.

Artists from French Polynesia and around the world are invited to demonstrate their talent and compete in an idyllic location.

Tickets will go on sale from the beginning of October for all spectators

Through local and international events, we aim to represent French Polynesia and highlight the exceptional skills of our fire dancers, by supporting their development and providing them with a platform to shine, we aspire to strengthen the global recognition of this ancestral art.

Our mission is to promote these artists by offering them opportunities for competition and international visibility.

The project

The objectives of the SIVA AFI TAHITI

Identify and gather

To identify and gather all fire knife dancers from Polynesia for competition. The event aims to pinpoint the best local talents in this discipline.

Showcasing

Showcasing fire dance schools and associations in French Polynesia. It's an opportunity for these organizations to gain visibility and promote their activities.

Represent Polynesia

To elect a Polynesian fire knife dance champion who can then represent Polynesia at the world championship held in Hawaii for the past 31 years. The local winner will thus have the opportunity to compete against the best international dancers.

Provide international visibility

To provide international visibility to these artists by inviting them to participate in other fire dance competitions abroad, such as in California, Tonga, Fiji, or Samoa. This way, the top dancers can gain recognition on the global stage.
